Could you run ONE Programme: District?

ONE Programme: District offers a young person (aged 16-23 years) a 3-hour paid role for one year to enable them to participate in and develop a project using their gifts and talents within their own church or circuit to help in its life and mission. They then meet with the other ONE Programme: District workers in their district for three residential weekends in the year for learning, reflection and discipleship activities as well as fun and friendship.

“I have learnt to be flexible and adapt to what was needed. I have grown to be more mature and learnt how to deal with pressure.”
Samantha, North East

“I have learnt more about myself and how my faith has developed.”
Andrew, North East

“I have grown a lot closer to my church, especially the older people and I have realised how supportive it is.”
Katy, Yorkshire West

ONE Programme: District is modelled on the previous York and Hull 'microYPS' experience. It is a district-based discipleship scheme for young people supported by the Regional Forums of the Methodist Learning Network.

ONE Opportunity is now happening in four places:

Yorkshire North and East District

North East Region

Yorkshire West District

Northampton District
