Methodist Publishing House Chair retires

Dudley Coates, who has the chaired the Board of the MethodistPublishing House since 1996, has announced his retirement from thepost.

 

During his term of office the House has published theMethodist Worship Book in all its various editions,continued the long tradition of the Epworth Press imprint, andmoved to new purpose built premises.

 

Following a strategic review, new senior staff have beenappointed and the House is poised to launch a new imprint aimed atthe wider ecumenical market, as well as a refreshed image for theMethodist Publishing House imprint. The House continues to providea wide range of resources and services from its Peterboroughheadquarters.

 

Dudley Coates said, 'I am proud of the achievements of the Houseover the last eight years. I am confident that the House, under itsnew Chief Executive, Martin Stone, will go from strength tostrength. I am looking forward to handing over to my successor inthe autumn'.
