Ethical Investment - Oil and Tax

Operation Noah and Methodist Tax Justice Network
York Room

Our world faces two escalating crises - climate change and economic inequality. Both are perpetuated by fossil fuel companies and many others, who directly contribute to global warmingand dodge taxes worldwide. As the world overheats and the inequality gap widens, the Methodist Tax Justice Network and Operation Noah ask: what should the Methodist Church do with its investments in  such companies, and how can climate and tax justice campaigners collaborate for a greener, fairer future?

Speakers will include the Revd Dr Neil Richardson, former President of the Methodist Conference, and Revd Dr David Pickering, Moderator of the United Reformed Church Synod of Scotland. The meeting will be chaired by former President, the Revd Dr Inderjit Bhogal.

A two course lunch will be served.
