Getting there by rail

Although Shirley is not far from the NEC as the crow flies, it is a journey of about an hour by rail, involving a train from Birmingham International to Birmingham New Street and a short walk to Birmingham Moor Street station for the train to Shirley.  There is then a walk of about 20 minutes from the station to the church.  Here is a map of the walking route.

Getting there by car

The church is about 10 miles from the Conference venue, a journey time of around 21 minutes by car.  If driving from the NEC, follow the M42 southbound  to junction 4 and then follow signs to Shirley. The postcode is B90 3AL. Alternatively, the AA route planner shows directions from the NEC to Shirley Methodist Church. There is a council car park behind Iceland and the Church, which is free on Sundays.

Accessibility

The church has easy access for those who cannot manage steps and there is a wheelchair-accessible loo. A hearing loop system is also available.
