Easter Offering Service for 2010

Easter Offering for 2010 is titled Companions in Faith, Hope and Love. As in previous years, it has been developed and organised in conjunction with Women’s Network.

As usual, the vast majority of the offering will go to supporting the World Mission Fund of The Methodist Church in Britain with only a tiny percentage (1%) going towards district training funds. Each year the Easter Offering has raised between £300,000 and £400,000 nationally, thanks to the hard work of the Women’s Network and the generosity of our membership.

An optional Love Feast is included this year, with a tried and tested recipe for the Middlesmoor Love Feast cake as used in the Yorkshire Dales since the time of Wesley.

You may download the following materials to enable you to plan your Easter Offering 2010 service. You may also print them freely for use in your service as an alternative to ordering them from Methodist Publishing, with the exception of the offering envelopes, of course.

All orders, including Orders of Service, should have been received by Friday 27 November 2009, so that we can ensure minimum wastage when printing. This year we are prepared to deliver the materials directly to individual circuits. This is just as cost effective as delivering them to districts. Orders will be sent out as soon as possible in the new year, and in any case if we received your orders by Friday 27 November 2009 you will receive them by the third week of January 2010.

Please note that the order deadline of 27 November guaranteed delivery in the first two weeks of January 2010. However, you may still submit orders; it is simply that we cannot guarantee delivery by mid-January.
