CLEM

(La Comunidad de Libertad y Esperanza de la Mujer)

CLEM is the Community of Hope and Freedom for Women in Bolivia. It is a Christian ecumenical women's development project run by women, for women and the communities in which they live, with the enduring commitment of creating a more just society for women, for men and their families.

CLEM received a Women's Network Empowerment Grant of £2,500 in 1995. Since then, with links being taken up by Districts around the UK, the charity has gone from strength to strength. CLEM is a Bolivian charity. "Friends of CLEM" is now a registered charity in England and Wales and exhibits at Methodist Conference every year.

The "Friends of CLEM" charity has its own website: www.friendsofclem.org
They aim to promote and support the relief of financial hardship, the advancement of education and the preservation and protection of good health amongst women and their families in Bolivia by the support of the work of the Comunidad de Libertad y Esperanza de la Mujer (CLEM).
