More than 200 professional singers turned up at The Beatles’ former music hub – Abbey Road studios in north London – to record the charity single “Somebody Please” out for release on 27 April 2010. The Fourth Plinth Communion(28 July 2009 1:40) Ken Chalmers, a Methodist minister from Castle Cary in Somerset, led worship from Trafalgar Square's Fourth Plinth today (28 July 2009) and celebrated Holy Communion in the Methodist tradition. Revd Martin Turner, Superintendent Minister at Methodist Central Hall, presided over Communion at the base of the Fourth Plinth while Ken led worship from the top of the plinth. Ken was one of 2,400 people appearing on the Fourth Plinth between 6 July and 14 October 2009, picked from more than 28,000 applicants for sculptor Antony Gormley's One and Other project. Antony asked the people of the UK to occupy the empty Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square. The idea is that every hour, 24 hours a day, for 100 days without a break, a different person makes the plinth their own.
