On the second day of Christmas...
Well this year, God, I’m not going to eat so much.
Yes really!
Everywhere I go there is extra food on offer – the Christmas meal at work, the complimentary mince pies, the drink with the neighbours.
Normally this would be fine but this time of year I seem to be full of 'extras'.
So this year I shall refuse.
I shall take a vow of abstinence.
Are you really my child? How good are you at deciding what you really do and don’t need to eat and drink? When you live in the land of plenty what are your rules?
Listen to my words of love, feel my spirit deep within your soul, enjoy my creation and share its riches…
with everyone.
Give us this day our daily bread
