Education chaplains

Chaplaincy: Education

There are well established chaplaincies in almost all British Universities.  Both Methodist Independent Schools and Methodist Maintained Schools have chaplains whilst an increasing number of community schools and colleges welcome the spiritual support which chaplaincy can bring to their communities.

For all matters relating to chaplaincies in:

  • schools (independent, maintained and community)
  • Further Education Colleges
  • Universities and Higher Education Institutions

News and Events

SCM is a student-led movement inspired by Jesus to act for justice and show God's love in the world. In local groups and at national events students come together to pray, worship and explore faith in an open and non-judgmental environment. The movement is made up of a network of groups and individual members across Britain, as well as link churches and affiliated chaplaincies.

Do you want to reach more students and provide a welcoming space for them to be part of your community?  Link your church with SCM (Student Christian Movement) for free and you'll receive great benefits including a profile on the SCM website, ongoing support and advice to engage students, information about training in your area, and resources and publicity materials.  Go to www.movement.org.uk/become-scm-link-church  to link your church up today.
