Hurricane Earle

The Caribbean is in the middle of hurricane season, and on Monday 1 August 2016 hurricane Earl hit Haiti and the Dominican Republic, killing 9 people according to media reports. Our mission partners there, Sharon and John Harbottle are well and have not been affected.

Belize was struck by category 1 hurricane Earl on the evening of Wednesday 3 August. It has caused severe flooding and damage to homes, but thankfully no loss of life. The manse of Bishop Rooselvelt Papouloute, the Bishop for the Belize/Honduras District of the MCCA, is flooded with 2-3 feet of water and many Methodist members' homes have been badly affected.

Please pray for the Caribbean as it literally tries to ride out the storm.
