July/August 2013 WCR Bulletin

Dear Friends in Mission,

"For God is not unjust; he will not overlook your work and the love that you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do. And we want each one of you to show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope to the very end, so that you may not become sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises."   Hebrews 6:10-12 (NRSV)

Serving one another and serving the world. This is a very significant part of the gospel and one that our Partner Churches all over the world take very seriously, following in the footsteps of the great men and women of God whose love for Jesus Christ propelled them to serve and love their neighbours tirelessly.

In this edition of the World Church News Bulletin, we pray that you will be encouraged by how Methodist Christians all over the world are serving their neighbours with diligence. Some do this by joining with their communities in demanding better standards of living from their authorities, or by training medical staff to resource their community health services. Others do it by preaching the saving grace of Jesus Christ, by serving alongside Methodist Church partners abroad as mission partners, or by travelling all the way to the UK to participate in the most important event in the yearly calendar for the Methodist Church: the Methodist Conference.

We pray that whatever you find inspiring in this month's bulletin will encourage you to continue doing what God has called you to do in your own life and ministry.

Wishing you every blessing,

The World Church Relationships Team.
