Consultation on Religious Freedom

In March 2017 the Methodist Church in Britain will hold a consultation on Religious Freedom. Hosted by the World Church Relationships Team (WCR) and the Joint Public Issue Team (JPIT), this consultation will bring together people with direct experience of what it means to be denied religious freedom and those who wish to learn, and do, more.

Taking place near London between 13th and 16th March 2017, the consultation will help give insights to discrimination and persecution faced by people of many faiths amongst some of our overseas partners and within British communities.

JPIT and WCR are looking for ten people from across the Connexion who would like to be part of this consultation and who are also willing to host an overseas guest for a few days either side of the event. Participants should have a keen interest in the theme of the consultation and preferably should be active in this area, either in their local communities or in a global context.

If you are interested in taking part in this consultation then please contact Simon Bennett on wcr.admin@methodistchurch.org.uk
