Getting lost on the way - Countdown to President’s Christian Aid marathon run

With only one month to go the Methodist President of Conference, Rev Dr Neil Richardson, has stepped up his training for the London Marathon.

The President, however, has run up against an unusual problem: he can't find his way home after training. Dr Richardson himself explained: "Travelling up and down the country for services and meetings means that I often stay in a different place every night. Locating my hotel after a long morning run can be quite troublesome!"

But such disorientation could be to his advantage in his quest to break the 4 hour mark. It involves, Dr Richardson said, "running further than expected".

Dr Richardson is raising funds for Christian Aid's work in Sierra Leone. "Grateful and encouraged" by the sponsorship so far, he hopes it will continue to gather momentum as he makes his way round the Connexion.
