"Do not delay me, since the Lord has made my journey successful" (v. 56)
After Rebekah consents to accompany the servant, the caravan sets out for Canaan. When they come as far as the Negev, they see Isaac who had gone out "in the evening to walk in the field" (v. 63). Rebekah alights from her camel and veils herself, according to the oriental custom, before her betrothed. After Isaac is told all the things that had happened on the journey, he takes Rebekah for his wife, and he is comforted after his mother's death.
The theological motif of these verses and indeed the whole chapter, is that God will lead and prosper the one who puts their trust in God. It is expressed in the words of the servant: "Do not delay me, since the Lord has made my journey successful".
