Weave a silence, O Lord, on to our lips; weave a silence into our minds; weave a silence within our hearts. Close our ears to distractions; close our eyes to attractions; close our heart to temptations. Amen.

Traditional Celtic Prayer

We are on a journey to a place
where there is no temple but the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb.
In the meantime,
may our worship make true connections between earth and heaven.

We are on a journey to a place
where there is no light but the glory of God and the Lamb.
In the meantime,
may the light of Christ dispel the darkness in our world, our local communities, our Church and our hearts.

We are on a journey to a place
where all nations together will give honour to one Lord.
In the meantime,
may we work for peace between peoples of different origins, religions and philosophies, around the world and on our doorstep.
And may the God of light and life and peace bring healing to our world. Amen.
