We turn to you, O Crucified Redeemer; converted through your cross, conquering in its sign, transformed by its grace and dying beneath its shadow. Amen.

William of St Thierry (c. 1085-1148)

Holy God, dynamic Spirit, ever drawing us forward,
we thank you for those pilgrims who walk the journey of faith with us:
encouraging us when our spirits are low,
helping us to discern your purposes when our sight is clouded,
supporting us when we stumble and fall.
Enable us also, by your grace, to be faithful friends and true companions,
calling, inspiring and helping others on the way,
so that together we may find joy on the journey
and delight in discovering your kingdom.
We pray in the name of him who walked the road before us
and who makes himself known as we follow. Amen.

Roger Walton, West Yorkshire District Chair
