Helen Tyers

Helen Tyers is a Disabled Person who has a passion for understanding the message of the gospel and the scriptures in the context of the present not as part of our medieval past. The scriptures, along with the works of the early fathers and the Church through history should be embraced to help us understand the changing relationship we have with God and how God changes the response to us with the same message.

Obtaining a MA in Practical and Contextual Theology was key to enabling Helen to combine this passion with that of her life in the arena of social care and equality. She believes that there is a vital message for the Church today, of inclusion and involvement, and that there is a need to understand that the church has a key role in showing society the way, through understanding the message of the kingdom and living it out.
