Help the churches lead the way.

Executive Director for Operation Noah,

the churches’ climate change campaign
Initial contract 2 days per week for twelve months

Operation Noah aims to inspire Christians to ‘cut the carbon’ and demand a safe and just solution to the crisis of climate change.  We need a pioneer with proven campaign management skills to help put climate change at the heart of the churches’ witness.

Working initially part-time with a campaign assistant, you will promote Operation Noah through the churches of Britain.  Our ambition is for a full-time director and team to generate a mass-movement for personal and political action.  Whilst you do not need a theological background, you will need a track record of partnership building, and be able to interpret the ethical challenges of climate change for a variety of audiences.

A competitive salary is offered for this high profile position.  The post is based at the headquarters of Churches Together in Britain and Ireland, and will involve travel.

For an application pack, contact Penny Elvin, CTBI, Bastille Court, Paris Garden, London SE1 8ND, telephone 020 7654 7254, penny.elvin@ctbi.org.uk
The closing date for applications is 24 October 2006.

Operation Noah is a project of the Environmental Issues Network of Churches Together in Britain and Ireland and Christian Ecology Link (registered charities).
