A Word in Time is an online Bible study hosted here on our website. You can read the passage and reflection, consider the questions raised, and join the conversation as you journey with others.

Deeply engaging with Scripture is important for all Christians, and Methodism is no exception. John Wesley described Methodists as a people who had been raised up to spread 'Scriptural Holiness' throughout the land, and recognised that immersion in Scripture was one key way in which the people of God grew into maturity and faith.

Prayer is a gift from God that enables us to be aware of the presence of God in our lives and in the world. It is also a means of expressing what we believe about God and can prompt us to act to change the world as we respond to God's love.

We also have a prayer wall where anyone can post prayers to God so others can come alongside them.

The Methodist Church is committed to safeguarding as an integral part of its life and ministry. Safeguarding is about the action the Church takes to promote a safer culture. This means we will: 

  • Promote the welfare of children, young people and adults
  • Work to prevent abuse from occurring
  • Seek to protect and respond well to those that have been abused
