Catch a glimpse of heaven with A Gift of Grace

"Everything is a grace because everything is God's gift," said St Thérèse of Lisieux. This is just one of the quotations to be found in A Gift of Grace - the latest addition to the popular A Gift of series.

The beautiful booklet combines scripture, poetry, quotations, hymns and reflections to explore the theme of grace.

"God's grace is surprising, exciting and subversive," said the Revd Dr Mark Wakelin, President of the Methodist Conference, "but it can also be gentle and understated. A Gift of Grace offers us the opportunity to reflect on this gift and to consider how we might pass it on to one another as a sign of God's love."

A Gift of Grace is designed for churches and individuals to give away to their friends, neighbours and communities, but is also ideal for small-group or personal reflection.

Charles R Swindoll is among those quoted in the booklet, saying: "Grace has to be the loveliest word in the English language. It embodies almost every attractive quality we hope to find in others. Grace is a gift of the humble to the humiliated. Grace is a gift of tender mercy when it makes the least sense."

Other contributors include the Revd Ruth Gee, the President-Designate of the Methodist Conference, Julian of Norwich and Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

The booklets can be purchased from Methodist Publishing at the price of £5 for 50 copies, plus postage and packaging. A Gift of Grace is also available to download as a free ebook here and a free PowerPoint presentation will soon be available here
