Churches prepare for general election

For the past 20 years, churches across the country have been responsible for organising 'hustings' for local candidates. These have proved to be valuable opportunities for genuine political debate to take place on neutral territory. The Methodist Church, working with other denominations and ecumenical bodies is producing resources to help churches to organise these meetings.

For a copy of 'How to organise an election meeting' and 'Election Issues', please contact one of the addresses below, giving your name, Churches Together/Council of Churches Group, constituency, address, postcode, telephone number and email address (if appropriate). The resources are free, but donations, made payable to the appropriate ecumenical body, will be appreciated.
