Methodist youth event selling out fast in record breaking year

Tickets for the Methodist Children & Youth Assembly,3Generate, are selling out at record speed, for what is the event'slargest gathering to date.

Tickets for the 8-11 and 11-18 age-stream have almost soldout, despite more than 100 extra spaces being made available.


700 young people from across the country are expected to attendthis year's Methodist Children & Youth Assembly, 3Generate, anannual weekend event for young people, this year taking place atthe PGL Liddington near Swindon, 25-27 November.

Youth President Craig Gaffney said: "3Generate is always afantastic event. Young people come and contribute to interestingdiscussions, have fun with friends new and old, and spend timeexploring their faith. Over the weekend, young people will have thechance to have their voice heard and make a real, lastingcontribution to the Methodist Church."

Every year, two spaces are reserved for each District ofthe Methodist Church to ensure young people from across the countryare able to have their voices heard. Twenty-two of the thirty-oneMethodist Districts are being represented so far, and only thirteenreserved spaces are left.

For the first time ever, a further fifteen spaces havebeen reserved for young people with additional needs, where one toone support and an integrated programme with tailored activitieswill be made available.

Craig added: "By better providing for children and youngpeople with additional needs, we hope to empower all of theChurch's young people and ensure no voice is left unheard."
