Statement on Isle of Man discrimination story
Following a story in the media today about alleged
discrimination by an Independent Methodist Church minister, the
Methodist Church in Britain has released the following statement
for clarification:
The Independent Methodist Church is not a part of the Methodist
Church in Britain. Its origins are in churches that chose to remain
independent after the Wesleyan, United and Primitive Methodist
Churches become one body in 1932. The Methodist Church in Britain
is opposed to discrimination of any kind.
