Methodist New Year

A marvellous first Sunday of the Methodist year. The President and Vice President participated in services at Wesley's Chapel and Westminster Central Hall.

The President preached on St James instruction to 'Be quick to listen and slow to speak.' What does it mean to listen to God's voice and how can we respond to the divine call to join in with God's mission if we are so 'noisy' with our activities that we forget to listen?

Can we hear the whispers of God's gracious invitation to go out into the world and dance, play and work as partners with God in mission? Listening to the truth of another person is the start of empathy and allows for transformation of relationships.

It was also wonderful to help celebrate the Diamond Anniversary of the Ordination of the Revd Brian Goss.
