Breakfast Briefing: Church investments and climate change - How can we be wise stewards?

The Joint Advisory Committee on the Ethics of Investment and the Central Finance Board
Nightingale Dining Hall

Last year the Methodist Conference voted to ask its ethical investments body, the Joint Advisory Committee on the Ethics of Investment (JACEI), to examine fossil fuel companies in the light of the Paris Agreement on climate change and pressed it to recommend further disinvestment where business investment plans were not aligned with the objective to limit the rise in global temperature to "well below 2 degrees".

Come and hear more about the work that has been undertaken by JACEI and the Central Finance Board on fossil fuel companies and explore how we can be wise stewards.  Speakers include David Palmer, Stephen Beer and Sophie Leake of the Central Finance Board and the Revd Stephen Wigley, Chair of JACEI.

Coffee and croissants

Space is limited, please email Marina.Phillips@cfbmethodistchurch.org.uk by 22 June to reserve a place - or turn up on the day to see if there are any croissants left!
