Engaging with local communities in justice-seeking deepens learning by putting faith into action, helping the church understand real needs and respond with compassion – missional growth.
And a church committed to learning may see numerical growth as these actions become easy entry points for like-minded people in the local community.
Action ideas
- Start a church lending library full of books, films, podcasts, etc.
- Host discussion events on hot topics.
- Recommend Christian podcasts.
- Run one or more of the Sunshine and Showers courses.
- Encourage testimony in services.
- Run Bible Month each year.
- Conversation spaces are a great place to share experiences and learn from one another. This could be during a Sunday service, in a small group, or while doing crafts or activism.
