FAQs
How do I get to Yarnfield Park?
The full address of the venue is: Yarnfield Park Training and Conference Centre, Yarnfield, Stone, Staffordshire, ST15 0NL. Check out this page for directions.
What about parking?
There is ample parking at the conference centre. Follow the signs - which will take you on a roundabout route through a housing estate - and eventually you will end up at the car park.
What's the nearest railway station?
Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent are the nearest main railway stations.
When can I get access to my room?
You can check in from 4pm on Friday 12th January. You will need to check out of your room by 10am on Sunday 14th, although the conference doesn't finish until lunchtime.
What do I need to bring?
Other than your clothes and personal items, we recommend bringing a Bible and a smartphone or tablet. The conference programme and workshop information will all be held online, and we'll be using a piece of software called Slido to conduct polls and capture your feedback throughout the weekend.
I have a disability and/or additional needs that need to be addressed - how do I let you know?
Please email our administrator, David Harmer, to let him know of any access or other needs that you have not already told us about through your Eventbrite booking. Please do this in advance of the conference if at all possible, to give us the best chance of accommodating your needs well.
What about workshops?
When you arrive at Yarnfield Park, we'll let you know which workshops you've been allocated. We'll try to give you your first choice, but as spaces are limited, they will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
What do I do if I have a problem during the weekend?
You can call Emma Nash from the Evangelism and Growth Team on 077999 00491 if you need any help during the weekend. If you need a pastoral conversation or an opportunity for prayer, there will be two chaplains to the conference who will be introduced in the first session on the Friday evening. Any safeguarding concerns should be reported to Eunice Attwood or Holly Adams from the Evangelism and Growth Team. Call Emma Nash if you have any trouble finding the chaplains or Eunice and Holly. The reception desk at Yarnfield Park is open 24 hours a day for any questions about your food, accommodation and so on, if you need help during the night, or you require first aid.
I paid a deposit - when do I get it back?
We'll be refunding deposits to everyone who attends the conference in the week commencing 15th January 2024. We'll only withhold deposits from people who book and then don't turn up - this is to guard against having to pay large cancellation fees for no-shows. We do realise that life happens, however, and emergencies crop up - if you're unavoidably prevented from attending at the last minute, please let us know.
You may find answers to other questions on Yarnfield Park's own FAQ page.
