Looking back at 3Generate 2022
3Generate, the Methodist Children and Youth Assembly, took place at the NEC Birmingham from 30 September to 1 October 2022, with over 1,000 young people from across Britain coming together to share in fun, fellowship and to hear the word of God.
You can watch the opening of 3Generate 2022 and the Town Light Switch On with 3GenTV.
James Carver, the Methodist Youth President, commented; "3Generate was absolutely amazing. It was fantastic to see everyone again and hear the voices of children and young people from across the Connexion speaking on many difficult issues both theological and secular.”
Over the 3Generate weekend, young people took part in craft, performance and sport to help them explore their relationship with God and hear what God is saying to them.
The President and Vice-President of the Methodist Conference came along to 3Generate. With the President, Revd Graham Thompson, commenting, "Having just experienced 3Generate what impressed me the most was the atmosphere. Hundreds of people took part in events that were brilliantly organised within the National Exhibition Centre. They generated an atmosphere of loving support for one another."
The young people explored God through music, fellowship and fun.
Worship took place throughout the weekend, with a variety of worship styles and opportunities to discuss and explore faith.
A time to share: People shared their photographs and experiences across Twitter over the weekend.

One of the things I love about volunteering at #Methodist Youth & Children event @3Generate2021 is meeting so many other lovely Methodists - some well known and others new friends. A delight to touch base with @RevdGraham and Alison, plus @CarolineWarrey and @philwarrey #3Gen22 pic.twitter.com/wmNIyEwpTh

Having been to #3Gen22 over the weekend, I can confirm that 3Generate is far better now that it is in the NEC. It is a bigger event with far more going on but it isn't overcrowded. It is noisy but there are quieter safe spaces in which to take refuge. pic.twitter.com/ekc1fiLZTl

After helping to get #3Gen22 rolling, I've had a great day talking with children and young people, and hosting a #whereswesley scavenger hunt; found one in the Hope and Anchor venue.
