How to run a virtual prayer room, 22nd March, 7-8.30pm
A virtual prayer room provides the excitement of Christians praying together in community, without having to leave your own homes. It’s a great way to get involved with Thy Kingdom Come this year, at a church, circuit or district level. We are delighted to be joined by Brian Heasley of 24-7 Prayer, who will talk about the logistics of running a virtual prayer room and provide some top tips for encouraging people to take part. The evening will also include an opportunity to experience an online prayer room; to pray, reflect and spend time with God. Register now
There are many different and exciting ways to pray daily, one of the commitments of A Methodist Way of Life, as both churches and individuals. How do we make regular prayer a joyful and life-bringing experience rather than a burdensome routine? As we prepare for a Lent season that will likely remain under heavy Covid restrictions, join us to hear some encouraging stories of how daily prayer has transformed lives, and to discuss how you could encourage your community to pray daily, to draw strength and to draw closer to God. Watch a recording of this webinar from January 2021
Methodist resources from 2020
Due to Covid restrictions, many churches didn't receive the 2020 resources. These can be downloaded below, or hard copies can be ordered through Methodist Publishing. Please do not make unnecessary journeys to distribute resources – please continue to stay safe during this coronavirus crisis and follow Government guidelines.
Jesus loves all - a prayer journal
Journey through the eleven days of Thy Kingdom Come using the prayer journal Jesus loves all, written by Methodist Youth President, Thelma Commey.
- Each day there is a passage from the Bible, a short reflection, a prayer, and a suggestion for action. There is also space each day for your own notes.
- Throughout the journal there are images to help you meditate on each daily theme. Let these inspire you as you read through each section for that day; and add your own notes.
- Author, Thelma Commey says, “It is my prayer that as we explore Scripture and reflect on the unconditional love of Jesus, you will experience it for yourself. Jesus loves you”.
A free copy of the journal went inside the connexion magazine, issue 18, ‘Letting Go’.
