The Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification was signed by the Lutheran World Federation and the Roman Catholic Church on 31 October 1999. At the World Methodist Conference in Seoul, South Korea, in July 2006, the Joint Declaration was affirmed by the World Methodist Council. In April 2016, the Anglican Consultative Council welcomed and affirmed the substance of the Joint Declaration and now the World Communion of Reformed Churches has associated itself with it.
