3Generate 2021 - The Event

It is our hope that we will be able to hold our 3Generate event, as planned, at The NEC at the end of October. At this stage, we are beginning to plan a programme based upon a residential event, but with a view to that fact that this may need to become partially residential or even virtual. The planning is being carried out in Satellite groups, headed up by volunteers and feeding into the Connexional Children Youth and Families team.

3Generate 2021 is an event for 8 – 23 year olds from across the Connexion. It is a place where children and young people can explore God’s vision for themselves, the Church and the world and their role in it. At this year’s event there will be a wide range of exciting and immersive activities, all laid out in a ‘3Generate town’, catering to all needs, abilities and learning styles. We have also introduced a year of 3Generate 365 that will seek to hear the prophetic voice of young people all year round, which will feed into the 3Generate 2021 programme.

What to expect at 3Generate 2021

Our 3Generate 2021 theme is ‘In Tune’, where we will explore what it means to be in tune with each other and with God and how we all have a part to play as part of the Body of Christ.

The 3Generate Children and Youth Assembly is open to 8 – 23 year olds and not only offers loads of fun and engaging activities and worship, but also plays a vital role in the decision making processes of the Church. In 2021, we will make the most of our new home at the NEC, we will be laying the main event out as a ‘3Generate Town’ – complete with loads of immersive activities for every age and interest. We’ll be encouraging those attending to expect to encounter God everywhere – through physical activities and sport, through creative and performing arts, through quiet contemplation and through discussion, debate and taking action as agents of change in the world. This will culminate in us making our Sunday morning ‘covenant’ – a promise between us and God that we will try to act on what we’ve heard and experienced.

How to get involved with 3Generate 2021

Volunteering

We are hoping that, as we come out of lockdown, we will be able to look forward to a 3Generate event at the NEC in October. We are following all the government guidance as to what will be possible, and hope that this will allow the event to proceed. In anticipation of this, we have opened volunteer recruitment for 2021.

For more information on plans for the 2021 event, visit the main page. Volunteers will be required for Scenarios A and B.

Volunteering at the 3Generate event can be an exciting and rewarding challenge; a chance to be part of a vibrant national event. We are now recruiting for 3Generate 2021 - more information can be found here.

Bringing a group

The 3Generate event is a place where group leaders, children and young people get the opportunity to engage with a fun-filled programme, all weekend at the NEC. We will have more details later for how to register your group, but for now, follow this link to give you a taste of what happens during the weekend and engage with 3Generate 365 as a group to prepare you for the event.

Shaping the event

We have launched our programme planning for 3Generate 2021, which, this year, will be carried out by a number of satellite groups that will be meeting virtually, all year round, to bring together an exciting and immersive programme for the event.  If you are interested in joining one of these satellite groups to help plan (whether you can attend the actual weekend or not) please follow this link.
