Youth President - representing you

The Methodist Youth President works full-time for one year to serve the children and young people of the Methodist Church in Britain, making their voices heard and helping them to get more involved in every aspect of Church life.

If you would like to speak to the 2019/20 Methodist Youth President, Thelma Commey (pictured), please email her.

For updates from Thelma throughout the year you can follow her on Facebook or Instagram

Thelma was elected by delegates at 3Generate 2018. Her theme for her presidential year is 'Jesus Loves All' (#JLA), focussing on reaching out to everyone with the love of Christ - with a particular focus on those who are disadvantaged in society. This will involve listening to children and young people, to hear about where God is at work in their lives. Throughout the year Thelma will be leading children and young people using art, music, fashion and all kinds of creativity to share these stories - presenting Jesus Christ as a loving saviour through the talents of children and young people.

Listen to this interview to hear Thelma discuss how she was elected into the role, what she hopes to achieve and her theme for the year, Jesus Loves All.

We've talked to a few past Youth Presidents: Pete, Christy-Anna, Sam, Hayley and Megan.  Find out what being the Youth President meant to them by watching this video.
