Resources and help for lockdown and beyond
Three new Facebook groups have been created to, hopefully, provide supportive communities of practice for workers for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis and as we navigate our way out of lockdown
The Well: Virtual Youth Ministry Forum
The Well: Virtual Children's and Family Ministry Forum
Methodists involved in schools chaplaincy
The Methodist Church follows the guidance of the National Youth Agency, who have developed some advice to work alongside the Government roadmap. You can watch a webinar from the NYA to help understand this guidance.
In addition to the resources here, there are also some newly created resources on continuing mission during the Coronavirus pandemic, including a page on talking to young people.
UK Youth, the National Youth Agency and The Mix have also joined forces to produce the Youth Work Support website, which now has plenty of advice on re-opening of youth activities. Please ensure that any plans you make are in line with the official guidance on re-opening property from the Methodist Church and, in particular, the new enhanced guidance for children's, young people's and intergenerational worship and activities.
