Meet the Team

Jane Bingham is the Learning & Development Coordinator for the East Central region. Jane has experience in training and development in the public and private sectors including the worlds of banking, outsourced customer service, power generation, the NHS and the civil service. In addition to co-ordinating the region her main areas of work are supervision, creative worship, growing through conflict, and candidating support.

Nigel Pimlott is a Learning & Development Officer for the East Central region, aligned with the Nottingham & Derby District. As a trainer, thinker, strategist and coach he has a passion for mission, innovation, creativity and helping people make a difference in the world. Nigel’s main areas of work are pioneer ministry, safeguarding and church/circuit visioning.

Gillian Thomas is a Learning & Development Officer for the East Central region, aligned with the Lincolnshire District. Gill has worked for the statutory and charity sectors in various parts of England and her passions lie in social justice and equipping people to be the change in their world. Her main areas of work are children and family ministry, youth work, lay workers support and 3Generate.

Our Priorities for 2019/2020

Although we will aim to help you with any learning or development that you or your church need, we also have key areas of work that we are focussing on in any given year. We seek to support the Methodist Church to fulfil Our Calling by offering focused support in these areas: 

  • Children and Young People
  • Supporting those who lead worship
  • Leadership skills and support lay and ordained
  • Pioneer Ministry
  • Local church ministry
  • Supporting ageing congregations & exploring spirituality and ageing
