Transformational Leadership Learning Community

Applications for 2022 are now open

The transformational Leadership Learning Community (TLLC) is all about helping you change, your church or circuit change, and enabling the wider world change for the better.

  • If you have a desire for transformation in your circuit and you're wondering how to bring it about, then the TLLC will help
  • If you are you looking to develop your leadership skills and those of your team, the TLLC enables this
  • If you sense that change is afoot, and that you need some help to lead change well, the TLLC will support you

Applications are now open for teams (of four or five people from each church or circuit) looking to join the TLLC from January 2022.

Each circuit or church team of lay and ordained leaders will receive training, opportunities to dream and plan together, and monthly coaching to help make their plans a reality.

The first meeting of the 2022 TLLC is a residential conference in Swanwick, Derbyshire – evening Friday 14th to early afternoon Sunday 16th January 2022. Teams will need to be available for this residential. Several times a year, all the teams gather together for input from transformational leaders, mutual learning and accountability, with time set aside to create plans for positive action. Apart from the residential, gatherings take place over Zoom.

Places in the learning community are fully funded (although teams are responsible for their own travel costs to any residentials).

The initial commitment is for one year, with the possibility of continuing for up to two further years. This is a significant investment of time, but the potential benefits are enormous. In the short-term, we would expect church/circuit teams to have a better understanding of who they are as leaders, be more skilled as leaders, and see tangible outcomes. In the longer term, we want to see Methodist churches being well-led so they better adapt, change and grow.

Here's Hayley from the Crosby Methodist Circuit talking about the difference the TLLC has made to them:
