The Story Project
Sharing testimony – our stories about being part of God’s story – is something we can all do to share the Good News of God. Testimony can take place in or out of church, and is simply the telling of our own story of faith to others. Our stories are gifts that deserve to be shared.
The Story Project, an initiative drawing on the Year of Testimony (2019/2020) and our commitment to embedding testimony in our life and church, aims to give people both the platform and the confidence to share their story.
The Story Project resources individuals and churches with continuing guidance and encouragement to build public testimony into worship and the whole of church life
The Story Project online events help participants to explore what testimony is and how to shape their own testimonies. We are now taking bookings from Circuits and Districts wishing to hold an online event and encourage and embed testimony in their churches. The Story Project team will set the Zoom event up, provide promotional materials for you to use locally, and run the event on the day. Minimum 25 attendees, maximum 200. Limited dates available – to book a date or for more info, please contact John Forsdick on Forsdickj@methodistchurch.org.uk.
The events aim to provide techniques and develop confidence in sharing your faith story, as well as offering an opportunity to contribute your story to the Project.
