Through Mission in Britain grants the Methodist Church enables people in local situations to deliver Our Calling by:

  1. supporting the Church to make followers of Jesus Christ.
  2. equipping, training and giving confidence to the Methodist people to share the gospel of Christ.
  3. equipping and supporting the Church to be a good neighbour to people in need, especially marginalised and vulnerable people.
  4. transforming societies and communities by reaching and empowering people experiencing poverty and inequality of resources.

Successful applications will be innovative, breaking new ground and creating benefits for the wider Connexion. The experience of, and learning from, such projects will encourage and enable others to reflect on what might be possible in their situation. You can see recent funded projects here - What have we already funded?

If you are looking for a small amount of funding for a new initiative, then please apply for a New Places for New People Grant via the Evangelism and Growth Team. The Evangelism and Growth team have also produced a resource to help with mission planning.

The most recent grants deadline was 4 March 2020, further information is on this page Application form and deadlines. If you have an idea for an application please get in touch to discuss it. You can email us: Connexional Grants Team or phone Julian Bond, Connexional Grants Team Leader on 0207 467 5178.
