Fundraising and GDPR
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) took effect in the UK from 25 May 2018. It replaces the existing law on data protection (the Data Protection Act 1998) and gives individuals more rights and protection in how their personal data is used by organisations.
The Methodist Church in Britain is committed to delivering a high standard of service to anyone who engages with our fundraising work. We ensure that all fundraising is conducted in a way that is legal, open, honest and respectful.
As registered members of the Fundraising Regulator, we have developed a fundraising complaints procedure which is in line with the expectations of the Fundraising Regulator and applies to any third parties who conducts fundraising on our behalf.
