This practice guidance is intended to support the work of those in the Church who have responsibility for safely recruiting people working with children and adults who are vulnerable.
This document contains a brief ‘step by step’ guide to the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme in Methodist Churches in Scotland and is a detailed guidance document for reference to the scheme.
The PVG Scheme was introduced in Scotland on 28th February 2011 and is now well established as part of the recruitment process for those deemed to be carrying out “Regulated Work” with children, protected adults or both.
