Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with me. (v. 20)

‘And ought not this woman... be set free from this bondage on the sabbath day?’ (v. 16)

.. and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge... (v. 19)

I... beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called. (v. 1)

‘The greatest among you must become like the youngest and the leader like one who serves.’ (v. 26)

Once you were darkness but now in the Lord you are light. Live as children of light. (5:8)

Be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ. (v. 21)

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power. (v. 10)

'I came to bring fire to the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! I have a baptism with which to be baptized, and what stress I am under until it is completed!' (vs 49-50)

But when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman… (v. 4)

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, just as he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before him in love. (vs 3-4)

I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him, so that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance among the saints. (vs 17-18)
