'As for the prophet who prophesies peace, when the word of that prophet comes true, then it will be known that the Lord has truly sent the prophet.' (v. 9)

O Lord, you have enticed me, and I was enticed; you have overpowered me, and you have prevailed. (v. 7)

Then they said, 'Come, let us make plots against Jeremiah – for instruction shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, let us bring charges against him, and let us not heed any of his words.' (v. 18)

'Just like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.' (v. 6)

For as the loincloth clings to one’s loins, so I made the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah cling to me, says the Lord, in order that they might be for me a people, a name, a praise, and a glory. (v. 11)

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. (v. 16)
