Jude Levermore appointed as Vice-Chair of ChurchWorks Commission

Jude Levermore, Head of Mission in the Methodist Church, has been appointed as Vice-Chair of the ChurchWorks Commission.
The ChurchWorks Commission brings together mainline church denominations, umbrella organisations and Christian charities to collaborate with government and equip local congregations to transform the lives of the most vulnerable in our country and its communities. It has a particular focus on tackling the mental health and wellbeing crisis, supporting vulnerable children and families to flourish and also the cost-of-living crisis.
Commenting on her appointment, Jude Levermore said, “ChurchWorks is a hugely valuable initiative and there has never been a more critical time to catalyse collaboration between Churches and government. I’m honoured to be taking on the role of Vice-Chair and look forward to playing my part in leading the Commission's work into its next phase.”

The announcement of Jude’s appointment was made alongside news that Rt Revd Philip Mounstephen, Anglican Bishop of Winchester, has been appointed as the new Independent Chair of the ChurchWorks Commission and that Pastor Agu Irukwu, Senior Pastor of Jesus House For All Nations (part of the Redeemed Christian Church of God), has also been appointed as a Vice-Chair.
