3Generate 2025

More that 1,800 young people and hundreds of volunteers will make their way to Birmingham tomorrow (Friday 3 October) for a weekend that will be the ‘Journey of a Lifetime’, where children and young people will explore what it means to take their next steps in living a Methodist way of life.

This year’s theme, ‘Journey of a Lifetime’, promises faith, friendship and unforgettable experiences, whether the young people are starting on their own journey of faith or looking to go deeper.

The children and young people will travel from across the country and beyond and will all be camping together within the halls of the NEC. Younger children, aged 4 to 7, will join on Saturday, with their parent or carer.

The Youth President, Genesis Padgett, will be welcoming the young people to the event. “I am so excited about 3Gen this year. It is such an amazing space for so many young people of the Methodist Church to come together and worship God, share stories and find their next step in faith.

"It is always inspiring to hear different young voices from all around the Connexion. And I am excited to see how God will speak to us all as we journey through this weekend. 3Gen isn’t just a weekend event, it’s a chance to grow, connect and dream about what is possible when young people lead with courage and discipleship.”

Chris Parker is one of the organisers making the event happen, “3Generate is a great opportunity for young Methodists from across the country to gather together, explore their faith and discuss world issues along with sports and worship. It creates an opportunity to experience something that will stay with them their whole life.

3Generate is a huge undertaking that is only possible due to all the volunteers and youth leaders who accompany the young people. I am so grateful to everyone who has made this possible."

Lord,

We pray for all those who are coming to 3Gen this year.
We pray that their journey goes smoothly and that everyone arrives with energy to praise you.
We pray for all those that are leading or supporting events,
taking care of our young people or helping behind the scenes to make 3Gen a great weekend for everyone.
Lord, we pray that you will lead all our young people in ways that help them worship you and grow in their discipleship.
