The Ethos Group

The calling of the Methodist Church is to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission. Resources published to support Our Calling for use across the Methodist Church are scrutinised by the Ethos Group. This relates to both online and printed publications – mostly formed by originators, or writers, within the Connexional Team.

Purpose of the Ethos Group

The Ethos Group aims to support formation of draft copy for Church resources and other outputs to be fit for purpose: ensuring they are authentically Methodist.

Its scrutiny is undertaken by the Convenor and members of the Ethos Group, who have a range of expertise including Faith and Order (F&O); Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI); social justice; safeguarding; ecumenism and Methodist Conference decision-making.
