'Where light dwells - faith, hope and art for a wounded world'
The Methodist Modern Art Collection is making a short tour of Scotland. The theme, ‘Where light dwells – faith, hope and art for a wounded world’, explores the role of art in helping us see differently and reflect on others from a place of hurt and healing.
The exhibition launches at Roseangle Gallery in Dundee at 6pm on Friday 11 September, with the President of Conference, the Revd Mark Slaney, opening the event. A lecture by Graham Kent, a former member of the MMAC Management Committee (MMACMC), will follow. The exhibition closes on Sunday 27 September.
In Inverness, the exhibition will open at Inverness Creative Studio on Saturday 10 October, led by the Revd Adam Stevenson, a member of the MMACMC and Superintendent of the Scotland Circuit. Most of the works will be displayed in the studio’s exhibition area, with six additional pieces shown at Inverness Cathedral. Both exhibitions close on Sunday 25 October.
