Breakdown of a marriage

Support for ministers experiencing relationship breakdown is provided within the CPD for any minister, including probationers, whose recognised marriage or civil partnership is facing difficulties. Ministers are encouraged to speak with their District Chair if they are presbyters, or with the Warden if they are deacons, as soon as difficulties arise. There is additional support available through the Connexional Support Officers (CSOs), appointed through the Conference Office, who are available to offer further guidance and pastoral support. Access to the CSOs is initiated through the District Chair or Warden who will liaise with the Conference Office.
