Superintendents’ Conferences 2026
Dear colleagues
I hope you are well and Happy New Year!
It’s a pleasure to be able to write to you about the Supers’ Conferences for 2026, which take place as follows:
13-15 May: Milton Hill Hotel, near Oxford (note change of venue)
1-3 June: Imperial Hotel, Blackpool
This year, we will explore the Presidential and Vice-Presidential theme of ‘Our Story, Our Song’ and we are delighted that The Revd Richard Andrew, President of Conference, will be with us.
We were delighted last year to have to create extra spaces for the Conference following significantly increased numbers of Supers wishing to attend. This year, we have changed the process to hopefully make it easier to sign up and take away the time pressure which there has been in previous years.
- On 19 January, we will update this post to include a link to a Microsoft Form to register your attendance to a Supers’ Conference, on which we will gather all of the necessary details.
- On the Form, we are asking you to choose the Oxford Conference or the Blackpool Conference or indicate that you are able to attend either (you will be able to indicate a preference)
- The form will close on 28 January.
For those who sign up by this date, we will do our best to meet demand, but please note that we are able to offer more places in Blackpool than Oxford and would be grateful if you could be as flexible as possible in making choices of venue. There will be the offer of a retreat as well running from lunchtime on 12 May to lunchtime on 13 May at Milton Hill Hotel. There will be an additional cost (we will confirm this when we send out further details) and there will be the option to sign up for this as well. We will be in touch as soon as possible after this time to confirm attendance with you. If we are significantly oversubscribed, we may need to allocate spaces on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you have any questions, please do contact us via email: superintendents@methodistchurch.org.uk
This comes with all good wishes from the Ministries Team for 2026.
