Share A Gift of Christmas and Celebrate the Nativity Story Together

The Methodist Church has recently published A Gift ofChristmas. The latest edition of the popular booklet contains Biblepassages, excerpts from Christmas hymns and other quotations. Thebooklet, priced at £5 for 50 from Methodist Publishing, enablesindividuals and communities to celebrate and reflect on the storyof Christmas together.

The Revd Ruth Gee, President of the Methodist Conference, said: "AGift of Christmas gives churches and individuals the opportunity toshare the joy, hope and challenge of the birth of Jesus. For many,Christmas is a time for celebration and sharing. For others, it isa difficult time or simply a festival that takes place duringwinter. Why not include A Gift of Christmas with your cardsor distribute it in church and community events?"  

A Gift of Christmas is an ideal gift that can offer friends,family, colleagues and others the opportunity to learn more aboutthe story of Christmas. As in previous years, the new editioncelebrates the birth of Jesus with Bible passages describing thedetails of the nativity, verses from Singing the Faith andthought-provoking illustrations to encourage reflection.

The Church has also made A Gift of Christmas availableas a free ebook in order to enable greater ease of sharing. Theebook edition will soon be available in the epub format.
