Living Christianity in the Holy Land 2026

A visit to the land of Jesus in 2026
21st January - 3rd February

18 September 2025

In a land marked by deep history and ongoing conflict, the Methodist Church in Britain invites you to join a unique visit to the land of Jesus – one that goes beyond traditional pilgrimage.

Organised by the Methodist Liaison Office, this is not just a tour of sacred sites. It is an opportunity to walk alongside the “living stones” – the people who call this land home – and to explore what it means to live our Christian faith in the context of complexity, hope and struggle.

Why join Living Christianity in the Holy Land?

  • Encounter the people of the land: Meet with local Christians, Jews and Muslims. Hear their stories. Learn how faith is lived in the midst of occupation, division and resilience.
  • Deepen your discipleship: Participate in worship, reflection and theological engagement rooted in the realities of the land where Jesus walked.
  • Stand in solidarity: This visit is an act of encouragement to peacebuilders and justice-seekers in the region. Come home more equipped to share about the situation.

“I came away with a deeper understanding of the complexities of the region, but also a renewed sense of hope. The people we met – their courage, their faith – changed me.”
