Director of Ministry Formation, Research and Scholarship

We are delighted to be able to announce that the Rev Dr Christine Dutton has been appointed to the role of Director of Ministry Formation, Research and Scholarship. She will be taking up the new role from 1 January 2027 and we are working to ensure a smooth transition for her current teaching commitments at both The Queen’s Foundation and Cliff College.

Christine brings to this role experience of teaching students in initial formation and probationers at the Queen's Foundation, lay leadership formation at Cliff College as well as work supporting Superintendents and District Chairs in her current role as Officer and Tutor for Evangelism and Leadership in the Ministries and Learning Team. As well as her own research in the field of new and emerging forms of Church, she supervises PhD students in Methodist related research areas through Queen's/VU Amsterdam.

I am looking forward to Christine taking up this new role within the Ministries and Learning team, working alongside Dan Bishop, Director of Ministry Development, Katie Deadman-Vernall, Director of Ministry Learning and helping us to further develop our work of ministerial formation, research and scholarship.
